Gauges from Dragonflight Design

Cockpit Warning Gauges

A handful of warning lights and a couple of other gauges to populate a panel. All gauges
are created large enough to be re-painted easily using Chuck Dome's Texbmp or Ben Chen's Gaubrowser. I created these gauges because of the almost total lack of cwp lights and the
consequent decrease in realism on smaller and older panels.

Fuel Switches contains four on-off rocker switches to start fuel on engines 1 to 4 on a jet.

Fuel Tank Levels contains seven fuel low warning lights for use with each available fuel
tank. The lights will illuminate at approx 10% of tank capacity left; the names will tell
you which tank the light monitors. Can be used on jets or props.

Generator Lights contains four lights, one for each engine. The light goes out at approx
2% of the available RPM and can be used on jets or props.

Oil Lights contains four oil pressure low lights, one for each engine. The lights will
go out as soon as the engine starts turning; this gives the added realism of turning
over a jet engine with the fuel switch off. Oil pressure will go up but the engine
won't start! Will work with jets or props.

Misc contains an Ice warning light that illuminates red at 4 degrees C and below. Clicking
on the warning light will turn it white and turn the Anti Ice Switches on globally for that
aircraft. It also contains a dual flap indicator that indicates the state of the flaps on
both sides of the aircraft to four notches.

Gear contains a gear handle and three separate gear warning lights.

These warning lights are generic; if anyone wants the generator, oil pressure and fuel low
lights setting up for a particular aircraft then I'm willing to part with the source code
for use with the SDK but I don't have the time to do them myself. Similarly for the Ice
Warning light if you wish to modify it for use with individual engines.

These gauges copyright Dragonflight Design 1999. You may freely distribute
in any panel or to any internet site but you must NEVER make money with them
in any form and this readme must ALWAYS be included, if only to explain the
functions.

*Update 22/7/1999*

Gauge transparency added.

Panel Switches
A full set of eight panel switches for
toggling the secondary panels available with
FS98. Comes in two types: as a rocker switch
and as a toggle switch. Switches are non-
latching and so return to the off position on
their own. All backgrounds are transparent.
Not tested with FS2K but will probably work.

Fuel Switches for Engines 1 to 4
A set of four switches that start fuel flow for the jet engine model.

Panel designers are welcome to repaint the switch to suit the aircraft
they are working on but the legal copyright of the gauges resides soley
in Dragonflight Design.

These gauges are for use in freeware panels; any commercial use or
commercial distribution is expressly forbidden. You may upload these
gauges to any site that does not charge a fee for access or for a
per-file basis. Normal ISP charges are exempt from this.

Throttle-sensitive Gear Lights

Three sets of landing gear lights that react and show red ("gear unsafe") indication if
the throttle is returned to idle and the gear is not down. The three sets are for
twins, trijets and fours and will react if only a single throttle is pulled back to idle.

You may repaint the bitmaps if you wish to suit your own panel.

You may also re-distribute wherever you wish but you must NOT make money with these gauges
in any shape or form or as part of a commercial offering unless you have a license from
me to do so.

Commercial users are welcome to contact me to discuss a SMALL license fee.

I declare the SOURCE CODE ONLY to be public domain and accept no further
responsibility for its onward use, nor will I support it or any
derivatives of it. As of the time of release it was fully functional.

(I suppose that makes a mockery of the license bit ;-))
